Quilt Preparation Please iron your quilt top and check for loose threads, holes, possible mistakes...please correct these prior to bringing in your quilt top. Excessive fullness cannot be quilted in. If your quilt is directional, please mark with a safety pin so we can mount and quilt appropriately. Please piece and square the backing prior to delivering. Selvages should be removed as they cause puckering. We have a selection of fabric available at additional cost. Check your borders by laying them out on the floor and smoothing out to see if it is wavy. Extremely wavy borders do not mount or quilt properly. Your backing must be at least 6 to 8 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides. We carry quilt batting at an additional charge. Please do not pin or baste your layers together because each layer is mounted individually. Please do not add your binding until the quilt is returned to you. Frayed edges on the border? It is a good idea to sew or serge around the edges. We look forward to the opportunity to help you finish your quilt. |
