What is a Shop Hop?
While each event is individually planned, ours is a visit of 4 shops most of which are along highway 89 and one shop on highway 10 in Ontario Canada This gives us a flying geese formation and the reason we are the Goose on the Loose Shop Hop. At each shop your passport is stamped after you see what that particular shop specializes in.
Why would I go to a shop hop?
A shop hop inspires the artist in you. It is a great time to visit shops that you may not get to on a regular bases and see the quilts they are creating.
The shops involved have worked hard to bring you 5 prizes and stock the most interesting fabrics that they can. There will be 1 grand prize and 4 quilts for prizes. What could possibly be better? Any of us would love to be a winner! Plus at each of the 4 locations there will be something demonstrated and a special sale.
How do I shop hop?
We hope you will devote a day at least to the experience and plan a route that will work for you. To assist you with that we have included our shop links to this site and you can plan your weekend. There are links to contact all of the shops included and if you require any further information we hope you will contact the shops directly.
How will I know if I won a prize?
The draw will take place the Monday following the shop hop and all winners will be notified by phone. Their names will be available on the website later that week.
A special thank you to our supporters and sponsors.
While following the Goose on the Loose you may want to visit our sponsoring
restaurants and enjoy the specials they are dishing up.

A shop hop is all about serving the quilter. The shops involved have contacted restaurants in their area as well as bed and breakfast owners in their communities to support this event. But without fabric quilting cannot exist and we thank you the quilter for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
Goose on the Loose shop hop offers you the best experience. Please feel free to contact or visit the shops or restaurant shops online. Plan your route and enjoy the weekend!
